Mind vs Action, and your life?

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

If you only think but don’t take action, you become bodies in the domain of death. If you think and are moved only in your minds, then only your minds are happy and nothing further happens.  If you take action, changes happen, you bear fruit, and things become reality.

The Lord Jesus said, “You are moved, happy, and full of joy when you hear my words. If you don’t put them to practice, however, you cannot gain anything and you go no further than just being happy. As soon as you are moved, as soon as you are inspired, you must immediately take action. When you are moved and inspired during prayer, you must immediately write them down. If you wait until later, you can’t do it because you will forget. In this way, you must take immediate action when you are moved by the Holy Spirit or realize me, Jesus’ heart, while listening to the message or while praying.”

What is Success?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Is it a good education, earning lots of money, owning that dream car and house and having a family? Now even if we think that we have achieved success, because we managed to fulfill our dreams and wishes having acquired material wealth and possessions, there will come a point in time when we still find our lives somewhat empty and meaningless. Despite all that we have, something is still missing and so we go on searching. An interesting video to this meaningless search done by the great people from ymca …

We always read about famous people, celebrities, politicians living the high life, giving everything they’ve got to pursue this perceived success but end up tragically, committing suicide, getting sucked into depression, succumbing to drugs, alcohol and sex. Do you envy them and consider that success? Honestly, far too many of us live our lives not knowing much about ourselves – what we are made up of, where we come from and where we are headed after we die.

So we ask the experts. Now scientists will break down human life to its DNA, attribute procreation to one’s parents and show you physical evidence of what happens to man after he dies.

Philosophers will discuss about life, showing how the mind interacts with the body and its environment while theologians will urge you to have faith in what you do not see readily with your physical eyes.

Walking on the brink of life…

I went to the church here last Sunday. I saw a man in his 50s play guitar and sing praises immersed in the grace of God prior to the sermon. It was very moving. He sang three songs and introduced himself. His testimony was the following: he had been diagnosed with an incurable disease that would take his life within six months. It was a death sentence to him. He thought to himself, ‘What should I do now in this world? I will die in six months. I must focus on my entry to heaven.’ From that time on, he constantly prayed and only praised God.

After six months, he found himself still living so made a resolution to evangelize until the day of his death. This became his testimony. As a person facing imminent death, he began going around with a guitar in his hands to speak out of his earnest heart and, to sing the songs which he composed to inspiring lyrics. Because he could have died any day, hearers accepted and believed when he said to them, “At the threshold of death, I preach to you about salvation that will last forever.”

He thought to himself, ‘Will I die this month? Will I die next month?’ But as he kept going around, evangelizing, he has lived eight more years so far. He added, “Now that I took this as the time the Lord gave me for evangelism, and I have been praising God and evangelizing, He has extended my life.” With that, he expressed his deep gratitude to God, inspiring the audience to taste the grace and fiery power of the Holy Spirit. He has written many songs, which he goes about singing.

Man changes when he is placed in an extreme situation. If you evangelize and save lives, as he does, God and the Lord will perform wonders. Everyone, if you live thinking that you were just notified about your imminent death, you would wake up even ten times more keenly and take action.
