Mind vs Action, and your life?

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

If you only think but don’t take action, you become bodies in the domain of death. If you think and are moved only in your minds, then only your minds are happy and nothing further happens.  If you take action, changes happen, you bear fruit, and things become reality.

The Lord Jesus said, “You are moved, happy, and full of joy when you hear my words. If you don’t put them to practice, however, you cannot gain anything and you go no further than just being happy. As soon as you are moved, as soon as you are inspired, you must immediately take action. When you are moved and inspired during prayer, you must immediately write them down. If you wait until later, you can’t do it because you will forget. In this way, you must take immediate action when you are moved by the Holy Spirit or realize me, Jesus’ heart, while listening to the message or while praying.”

How God Changes Your Brain

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Here’s an interesting video on how humans are fundamentally inclined and influenced by spirituality. Here’s some interesting research in this area, done by M.D. Andrew Newberg on this interesting convergence.

When we really ask ourselves deep inside, honestly, don’t we have this feeling that we, as humans, are more than just a biological organism, which we sometimes tend to put out just to keep away from the sensitive topic of spirituality?

What’s Your Spiritual Intelligence?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Here’s an interesting view on spiritual quotient and intelligence. If we look back into history, even the really smart people sometimes do make blunder mistakes. When we look into ourselves, we see that all the time, don’t we? However, people were not always like that, fortunately. Looking at the times of the middle ages, among the terrible wars and other things that happened, it was also a time when the best Renaissance, Gothic, Classical, and Romantic masterpieces were created in music, fine arts, and architecture. It was practically a time of miraculous works of art which we still admire and appreciate till today. So, let’s take a step back and ponder over that source of powerful inspiration, by which God made His beautiful works of arts with men.

IQ isn’t everything

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Since the time of the early 20th century, psychologists discovered ways and means to measure intelligence. They devised these tests to sort people into various degrees of intelligence. The theory is that the higher one’s IQ, the more intelligent the person is deemed to be. But IQ isn’t everything. IQ alone does not make the person.  It certainly is not a measure of whether a person eventually becomes successful in life or not. Some people may have high IQ but they use their intelligence to hurt others. Such people are frowned upon and they will eventually have to pay for their misdeeds. So I guess, that does not make them that smart after all.

In the mid-1990s, research by many neuro-scientists and psychologists showed that EQ – Emotional Quotient is a higher form of intelligence. In fact, it a basic requirement for the effective use of IQ. EQ is the ability and skill to identify and manage the emotions of one’s self and of others. If you have high EQ, you have a greater capacity to cope with the pressures from the environment and people. With a high EQ, you are probably well liked by others, are more likely to land a good job and excel in your relationships.

It has been observed that a person overpowered by emotions fails to act intelligently and rationally. So learning to manage one’s emotions is very important if you want to lead a successful life. And the secret to raising the level of our IQ and EQ, ladies and gentlemen, is to unleash the power and potential in our SQ. What then is SQ? We all came here to find out about this, right? Now scientists contend that the spiritual quotient is the ultimate intelligence. Explore this site to find out more about SQ.
